I can’t stress enough how important Julia was to my birth experience. When things didn’t go as planned and I had to be induced, Julia listened to and validated my concerns and was an incredible source of knowledge that aided in giving me a birth experience that was as close as possible to what I wanted. She was invaluable in helping manage pain without medication, both herself and with instructions for my husband. I am so glad we used a doula to help with our baby's birthing process and found Julia. I was incredibly nervous about the process of labor and birth, and Julia was knowledgeable, calm, and encouraging the whole process. She met with my husband and I beforehand to answer questions and give us a better sense as first time parents of what to expect with labor. During labor, she was definitely an anchor for us and helped up in many practical ways, such as suggesting helpful positions to relieve pressure and help my body get ready.
